Danny Clifford

Danny Clifford was born in London’s vibrant East End. His interest in photography began when he enrolled in a film group run by the ‘musical intellect’ Dr Terry Bolas.
Whilst at school Danny attended concerts and despite being initially self taught he went on to study at Barnet Art College and Harrow Technical College to further his experience. His first appointment was at Fox Photos press agency in London where, in a very short period of time he became the assistant photographer to the four Directors of the company, then went on to be a freelance photographer working with Freddie Mercury, Bob Dylan (his official photographer during the1978 World Tour), Nelson Mandela throughout the 1970’s onwards. His work featuring in Melody Maker, Sounds, NME, Rolling Stone and the National press having his photographs published worldwide.
Danny is one of the world’s leading music photographers and has photographed the biggest artists and celebrities in the world including Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Jimmy Page, Pete Townsend, Keith Moon, Elton John, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Roger Daltrey, Ronnie Wood, Amy Winehouse, Oasis, Rihanna, Gary Barlow, Shirley Bassey, Kate Moss.
